Santa Maria
Navarrese (part of the municipality of Baunei) is situated on the east coast of
Sardinia overlooking the gulf of Arbatax. The village has all the essential
services tourists require: shops, restaurants, pizzerias, newsagent’s, tourist
office, car and moped rental, beach equipment for hire, excursions on foot,
horseback or by landrover, rock-climbing, guided boat trips, visits to the
“fico” cave and a modern tourist port with boats for hire, scuba-diving centre
and mooring assistance (on land and sea).

By plane:
The nearest airport is
Tortolì-Arbatax, 15 km from S.Maria Navarrese. During
the summer season there are scheduled and charter
flights from Rome, Milan, Verona, Innsbruck, Bolzano….
The three international airports of Sardinia are Olbia,
Alghero and Cagliari; they link the island to mainland
Italy and to the main European airports. There are some
“low-cost” airlines that fly to Sardinia too:

By ferry:
The nearest seaport is
also at Arbatax. The Tirrenia ferry company has regular
connections to Genoa and Civitavecchia and a
“fast”service to Fiumicino :

and Cagliari with ferries to Genoa, Leghorn, Naples….
